Abstract et Concrete Nouns
The ending used is sometimes a sign of a significant difference:
- the abstract noun, even if it is a feminine noun, always ends with -ae.
- the concrete noun ends with -ey.
la saletae → abstract: refers to the dirtiness
la saletey → concrete: refers to dirt, rubbish
Noun and Past Participle
il ont eû une maodite échaodey
(They had such a mishap)
- Past participle:
il sont échaodae
(they got their fingers burnt)
